Meryl Streep's Former West Village Home Sells For $17 Million

The residence at 19 West 12th Street recently sold for just half of its original asking price.

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The legendary actress Meryl Streep lived at 19 West 12th Street for a decade from 1995 to 2005, before selling the townhouse for $9.1 million to an heiress. The West Village home has changed hands a couple of times in the years since, but the home just sold for $17.25 million to a limited liability company, according to property records.

While it is still an incredibly steep price tag, it actually is just half of what frozen food mogul Elisabeth de Kergorlay originally listed the property for in 2016, reported The Real Deal.

Streep, the three-time Oscar winner, bought the property for $2.1 million in 1995. Kergorlay purchased the West Village townhouse in 2008 for $13.5 million in 2008, according to The Real Deal.
