An unknown buyer recently purchased a townhouse in Greenwich Village for $28 million in all-cash, according to the website Mansion Global.

A mystery buyer who never actually saw the property in person paid $28 million for a landmarked townhouse in Greenwich Village, according to the website Mansion Global.

The buyer paid entirely in cash.

The landmarked five-story townhouse sits at 14 East 11th Street and has five bedrooms, six full bathrooms, a private elevator, and over 1,400-square-feet of gardens and terraces, according to the NY Post.

The payment amount was the highest price paid in 2020 for a residential New York City townhouse, according to Mansion Global.

The seller is a limited liability corporation, according to property records that Mansion Global was able to obtain. The buyer or representatives for the buyer never actually saw the house in person before making the purchase, instead only doing a handful of Facetimes to see the inside of the home, according to Mansion Global.
