Noisy Kids' Parents Sued For $5M By West Village Neighbor: Report
The children running upstairs sound like a "jackhammer," their neighbor said.

WEST VILLAGE, NY – The patter of tiny feet sounds like a "jackhammer for hours on end" to a West Village resident who's suing her upstairs neighbors for $5 million because their noisy children are making life hell, according to a report.
The lawsuit says the offspring of Jeffrey Wurgler and Florencia Marotta-Wurgler – academics at NYU – run wild in their home at 719 Greenwich St. and sound like "pounding on the floor up and down like a jackhammer for hours on end," according to the New York Post.
The suit was filed by neighbor Mindy Brill and accuses her neighbors of refusing to install carpet and other sound-proofing, the report says.

The Post reported the lawsuit as saying, “Immediately, when we moved in, there were ungodly noises coming from upstairs."
In a statement released to the Post, Jeffrey Wurgler said that their “children are not unusually noisy.” He said he will have carpeting fitted.
