A new study from Property Club ranks the 50 most expensive neighborhoods in NYC. The West Village made the list, but where?

WEST VILLAGE, NY — The real estate market in New York City has undoubtedly lowered in price during 2020, but that doesn't mean certain neighborhoods still don't cost a pretty penny.
The West Village ranked in the top 25 of most expensive New York City neighborhoods in 2020, according to a recent study from Property Club.
The real estate website put together the rankings by looking at all recorded closed sales for residential properties in NYC for 2020. It only included neighborhoods with at least 10 sales during the year.

- Median Home Sales Price: $1,410,000
- Number of transactions: 350
While the West Village ranked within the top 25 most expensive New York City neighborhoods last year, it was other Lower Manhattan areas that topped the list.

The NoHo neighborhood had the highest median sales price in 2020, followed by Hudson Yards and Tribeca.
Nearby Greenwich Village finished lower down on the list, but still within the top 50. The Lower Manhattan neighborhood ranked as the 40th most expensive neighborhood in the city during 2020, with a median sales price of $1,110,000.
Here are the numbers for the top five most expensive NYC neighborhoods, according to the study.
- NoHo, Manhattan: $3,250,000
- Hudson Yards, Manhattan: $3,201,875
- Tribeca, Manhattan: $3,150,000
- Central Park South, Manhattan: $3,050,218.50
- Nolita, Manhattan: $3,0002,146
There was no other neighborhood that broke the $3 million mark.
Manhattan dominated the list, with over half of NYC's priciest neighborhoods coming from the borough, along with the 15 most expensive.
