After 30 Years, Beloved Local Bakery Hits Market
The Beach Bakery Grand Café has been a mainstay and gathering spot in the Westhampton Beach community for decades.
WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — An iconic mainstay in the Westhampton Beach community for 30 years, the Beach Bakery Grand Café is now on the market.
According to Town & Country Real Estate, the Beach Bakery, located at 112 Main Street, is listed for $5,750,000.
Fully renovated in 2013, the 7,700 sq.ft. building is a turn-key business on nearly one-third of an acre with all buildings and equipment "baked in" as part of the package, Town & Country said.

Longtime owner Simon Jorna, 53, is originally from Holland and has operated his business for 30 years. Jorna plans to retire to his homes in Germany and Florida after the sale, but told Town & Country that it's hope that the "new owners will continue to operate the business as a bakery, or at least a restaurant."
"Available for the first time since 1988, the Beach Bakery Grand Café has enjoyed prominence in the heart of the village business district with a vibrant live music scene, abundant outdoor seating, and a bustling business with a loyal and ever-growing customer base," Town & Country said.

The centrally located bakery is known as a meeting place for locals, business and civic groups, and vacationers who savor the jelly donuts, wide array of pies and baked goods, as well as sandwiches and pizza.
The full-service restaurant was renovated and expanded at a cost of more than $3 million a few years ago, with "top of the market equipment added, seating expanded, and front and back patios updated among other improvements inside and out," Town & Country said. "The property is the most significant wet use in the center of Main Street."
An elevator connects the first and second floors for accessibility. Staff apartments on the second floor are an added value.
The property is exclusively represented by Town & Country Real Estate’s team members, Hal Zwick, director of commercial real estate, and Patrick. M. Galway, licensed associate real estate broker.
