Bridgehampton Man Charged With DWI In Flanders

State police said 23-year-old was swerving lanes and passing vehicles unsafely.

New York State Troopers arrested a Bridgehampton man they said was driving drunk on County Road 104 in Southampton Township last week.

According to New York State Police, Maxwell Spooner, 23, of Bridgehampton, was driving north on County Road 104 in Flanders on Nov. 15 when he was stopped for failing to maintain his lane and passing other vehicles unsafely. 

Police said they discovered Spooner was intoxicated. He was charged with DWI, a misdemeanor, and was given violation summonses for failing to maintain a lane and unsafe passing. He is due back in court on Nov. 25.
