Dog Stuck Under LI Deck Rescued By Firefighters

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — It was sweet relief for a pooch trapped under a deck in Hampton Bays Friday when firefighters rushed to the rescue.

According to the Hampton Bays Fire Department on the Hampton Bays Firemen Facebook page, a call came in at 3:10 p.m. about a dog stuck under a deck at Red Creek Circle. The dog was located by the owner using a GPS tag, firefighters said.

At the owner's request, firefighters removed the decking and rescued the black pug; Hampton Bays firefighter Joe Caputo helped guide the pup to safety, officials said.
