Driver Charged In Fiery, High Speed, Head-On Crash: Police
A video of the Dune Road crash shows a vehicle engulfed in flames. Three people were injured, police say.
HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A fiery, high speed, head-on crash left at least three people injured in Hampton Bays Friday night, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, at 7:33 p.m., several 911 calls came in for the two-vehicle crash on Dune Road near Road K.
One vehicle was on fire and there were three people in the second vehicle, with the driver entrapped, police said.

Police said Mark Criollo, 20, of Hampton Bays was driving a 2020 Mercedes Benz at a high rate of speed when he struck the second vehicle, a 2018 Mercedes-Benz driven by Barbara Reich, 81, of Boca Raton, FL, her passenger, Rebecca Reich, 20, police said.
Criolla had a passenger, Jonathan Medina-Guanga, 20, in his vehicle, police said.

Barbara Reich — who sustained "very serious" injuries — and Criollo were both transported to Stony Brook University Hospital via Suffolk County Police Department's aviation unit; Reich was transported with very serious injuries, police said.
Criollo was arrested and charged with reckless driving and second degree assault, police said.
The Hampton Bays Fire Department responded to extricate the driver of the second vehicle and the Southampton Town Police Department's detective division responded to conduct an investigation, police said.
Several witnesses remained at the scene and New York State Police assisted with accident reconstruction, police said.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information or who witnessed the crash is asked to call Southampton Town Police detectives at 631-702-2230.
