The Endorsement that Matters to Me is Your Vote On Election Day

Linda Kabot, Candidate for Suffolk County Legislator in the November 5, 2019 General Election, Legislative District #2

Many people have asked me why I would ever want to go back into the political arena. Good people tend to shy away from taking on the challenges of a run for elected office and the public scrutiny and controversy. But, I am passionate about my community and I enjoy tackling the issues that we deal with at the local and regional level of government. I am altogether familiar with the issues that are important to our community throughout the South Fork's hamlets and villages. I am knowledgeable about municipal finance, land use laws, zoning, comprehensive planning, and all areas of town and county government services – the level of government that is closest to the people.

It has been my privilege to represent the everyday people who live and work on the East End. I delivered principled leadership as former Southampton Town Supervisor and Councilwoman. If elected Suffolk County Legislator, I will work hard to address the needs of our residents, citizens, and taxpayers once again.

The only endorsement that matters to me is THE PEOPLE'S VOTE on Election Day, November 5.

For me, it's about a love for community.

For incumbent Bridget Fleming, it's because she "loves her job."

On Election Day, November 5 – Choose Wisely who will best serve taxpayers with honor, integrity, fiscal responsibility and community-minded professionalism. There are many challenges that face us regionally. Fiscal responsibility is the #1 issue, along with affordable housing, water quality, economic development, transportation, public safety and continued environmental protection. We need a County Legislator who will advocate for the critical issues facing our region and who has a true understanding of what being fiscally responsible means.

I am a proven leader who has demonstrated time and time again that I stand up for our taxpayers and make the difficult decisions, battling against special interests in the best interests of our community. We need representation that puts people first, not partisan politics and show-boating.

It's time for a change and a change for the better. It's time for more efficient, responsive government and for Proven Leadership You Can Count On.

I respectfully ask for your vote of confidence for the position of Suffolk County Legislator.
