Funeral Services Set For Lise Frielinghaus

Services for the beloved Westhampton Beach Middle School art teacher will begin on Monday, with a funeral to be held on Wednesday.

WESTHAMPTON, NY — Hearts are broken in Westhampton at the news that Lise Frielinghaus passed away Thursday.

Frielinghaus, a beloved art teacher at the Westhampton Beach Middle School, was a bright light for her students.

"Lise Frielinghaus was a valued and beloved member of our faculty since 1995," said Westhampton Beach School District Superintendent Michael Radday. "I had the privilege of serving as Lise's principal at the middle school and witnessed firsthand the positive impact she had on our students. She will be sorely missed by her colleagues and students.

Arrangements are as follows:

Visitation: Monday, Jan. 8, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Jan. 9 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. p.m. at the Westhampton Presbyterian Church, located at 90 Meetinghouse Road in Quiogue.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at the Westhampton Presbyterian Church sanctuary, with burial to follow at Westhampton Cemetery on Montauk Highway. A gathering will follow the service at the Westhampton Yacht Squadron.

Westhampton Presbyterian Church asked guests attending calling hours to please use sanctuary doors when entering and exiting during, as Maureen’s Haven will be using the Fellowship Hall during the same time on Monday.

"We express our deepest sympathy to her husband Aram Terchunian and daughter Mara Terchunian and the entire extended family," church members said.
