Gordon A. Werner, Community Leader, Owner Of Follett & Werner Funeral Home, Dies

Services will be held today from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Gordon A. Werner, 63, of Westhampton Beach, died suddenly on Thursday, Oct, 23.

Former owner of Lindenhurst Funeral Home and Follett & Werner Funeral Home in Westhampton Beach.

Beloved husband of Bernadette. Loving father of Michael (Lisa), Kevin (Wendy), Kristin (Michael), Matthew and Joseph (Christina.) Dear brother of Walter and Robin. Cherished “Pops” of Owen, Xavier, Nate & Maya.

“It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we share with you the sudden lose of our partner, friend and leader Gordon Werner,” the Follett & Werner staff wrote on the website. “Gordon was a highly respected gentleman and generous contributor to the Westhampton Community. He will be missed by many.”

“The Westhampton Beach School District mourns the loss of Gordon Werner, a member of the Board of Education and tireless community servant,” the Westhampton Beach School District wrote on their Facebook page. “The thoughts and prayers of the entire school community are with the Werner family during this difficult time.”

Visitation will take place Tuesday, Oct. 28 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Wednesday, Oct. 29 from 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Follett & Werner Funeral Home, 60 Mill Road, Westhampton Beach. The Funeral Mass will take place Thursday, Oct. 30 at 11 a.m., at Immaculate Conception RC Church in Westhampton Beach.

In lieu of flowers East End Hospice, Immaculate Conception Food Pantry or the Gordon Werner Memorial Scholarship.
