Hampton Bays Voters Pass School Budget
Residents turned out to support students in Hampton Bays.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — Voters approved the Hampton Bays School District's proposed 2019 to 2020 budget of 54,33,592 Tuesday by a vote of 545 to 255.
The budget represents an increase of 3.21% and carries a tax levy increase of 2.81 percent.
Voters approved, by a vote of 551 to 245, establishing a capital reserve fund for the roof and HVAC system, as well as a proposition for $300,000 for repairs, by a vote of 583 to 216.

Incumbents Kevin Springer and Richard Joslin ran unopposed for two open Board of Education seats; Springer received 598 votes and Joslin garnered 678.
