The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook as snow approaches the region.

The National Weather Service has issued the following hazardous weather outlook for the East End:

Light snow is likely to develop across the region toward midnight and then gradually taper off Tuesday morning. A light dusting to an inch of snow is possible for the Tuesday morning commute. There is a
low probability of 1 to 2 inches. With temperatures dropping into the 20s tonight, icy conditions are possible on untreated surfaces.

Monday Night- A slight chance of rain before 8pm, then snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 27. Wind chill values between 15 and 20. North wind 15 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

Tuesday- A chance of light snow before 11am, then a slight chance of snow showers between 11am and 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 35. Wind chill values between 15 and 25. North wind 8 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday Night- Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 19. Wind chill values between 10 and 15. North wind 11 to 14 mph.

Wednesday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 33. Wind chill values between 5 and 15. North wind 7 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Wednesday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a steady temperature around 31. Southwest wind 9 to 13 mph.

Thursday- Mostly cloudy, with a high near 44.

Thursday Night- Rain likely before midnight, then rain and snow likely between midnight and 3am, then snow likely after 3am. Cloudy, with a low around 30. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Friday- A 50 percent chance of snow before noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 36.
