Islanders Head to East End to Teach Kids Character Lesson
Hampton Bays students received a very special lesson this week on the importance of teamwork.

Hampton Bays Elementary School students received a very special lesson on character from representatives of the New York Islanders this week.
The assembly took place on January 16.
During the program, students watched a short video on the importance of teamwork before several students were selected to participate in an activity that demonstrated the significance of working together.

The messages shared during the event reinforced the school’s comprehensive character education program. Throughout the assembly, the students were excited to expand their understanding of the subject and even enjoyed a visit with Islanders’ mascot, Sparky, school representatives said.
