Man Speeding On County Road 39 Charged With DWI: Police

The Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated, police say.

SOUTHAMPTON, NY — A Hampton Bays man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after speeding on Country Road 39 in Southampton early Saturday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, Pedro O. Morales-Alvarracin, 24, was arrested at 3:31 a.m.; he was seen heading west in a blue 2006 Volkswagon while speeding at 73 miles per hour and failing to maintain his lane, police said.

He was arrested, charged with driving while intoxicated, taken to Southampton Town police headquarters, and released after arraignment, police said.
