Memorial Service For Linni Deihl Set

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — Hearts are broken as her daughter posted the sad news this week that Linni Deihl lost her brave fight with lung cancer on Monday.

"On Sept. 11, mom laid her dancing shoes to rest and passed away peacefully in her sleep. Her loyal pup Piper laid by her feet while I said good-bye. We both miss our mama terribly," Deihl's daughter Jesse wrote.

A memorial service will be held at the Quogue Chapel, located at 1 Beach Lane, at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 24, followed by the scattering of ashes in the memorial garden at the Westhampton Presbyterian Church, located at 90 Meeting House Road, and reception.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Marian Chase Foundation in honor of Linni Deihl, or will be accepted via her GoFundMe page.

All proceeds from the GoFundMe, beyond medical costs will be donated to the Foundation, her daughter said.

The GoFundMe page reads, "As you may know, last year Linni was diagnosed with lung cancer. Always one to be active, Linni has devoted her life to dancing, dance therapy, and to raising her beautiful daughter Jesse. So it came as a shock when Linni was sidelined by cancer. Linni has spent the last number of months battling this terrible disease with the help of her medical team of doctors and nurses and with the support of her friends, famil1y, and loved ones."

Her journey was long, and as a result, the medical expenses have mounted.

"Thank you all for your love and support. Sincerely, Linni's Fan Club," the page read.
