Ocean Spray Celebrates 40 Years Of Business, New Showroom

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY —A Westhampton Beach business will mark 40 years of serving customers with a celebration in July.

The Greater Westhampton Chamber of Commerce announced this week that Ocean Spray Hot Tubs and Saunas, which offers spas, pool service, and more, will host an anniversary celebration on July 16 and 17.

The festivities kick off on Friday, July 16, at 1 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting by the Westhampton Beach Chamber of Commerce to inaugurate Ocean Spray's new showroom, located on Old Riverhead Road. The celebration will continue on July 17 with a 1980s party featuring food, fun and sales.

“This celebration is not just about us being in business for four decades, but a 'thank you' to the community, our longtime customers, and employees for supporting us,” said owner Joe Musnicki. “We want everyone to come out and celebrate with us.”

“This is a milestone —40 years — that so few reach, especially in a market like Long Island,” said Meredith Volpe, sales manager. “It was all done through hard work, determination, and true customer service. Joe still does business on a gentleman’s handshake. He gives back to the community and is a great person to work for.”

The business was born in 1981 when Musnicki went into business for himself to provide a necessary service for locals; he began by servicing swimming pools, a release said.

In 1984, customers started asking about hot tubs. "And Joe always listens to his customers, so he started building and installing hot tubs," the release said.

In 1989, HotSprings, which creates luxury spas, chose Ocean Spray to be the exclusive regional hot tub dealer for Long Island, the release said.

"The rest is history — 40 years of working with water, two locations, in Westhampton Beach and Melville, and 8,000 satisfied customers later, Ocean Spray Hot Tubs and Saunas is still leading the way, but with a local feel," the release said.

The company's inventory has now expanded to include endless pools, fitness systems, and saunas, the release said.
