Preparing for Snowstorm in Westhampton-Hampton Bays

A light blanket of snow covered the area Thursday morning, a small indication of what is to come later on tonight.

The National Weather Service predicts that Long Island will see between 8 and 10 inches of snow, starting Thursday night, and has issued a blizzard warning for 6 p.m. in the area. 

Temperatures are expected to drop Thursday night into the mid-teens, and stay below freezing into Sunday.
