Search On For Man Missing In Hampton Bays: Police
His car was found at his Hampton Bays home, where police said he may have gone into the water.

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — The search was on in the Shinnecock Bay Sunday night for a missing man who police said might be suicidal, police said.
According to Southampton Town Police, on Sunday at 6:38 p.m., a family member called and said that William Woodworth, 58, of Massapequa and Hampton Bays had left his residence and might be driving to his Hampton Bays home.
Woodworth’s vehicle was located at the residence in Hampton Bays and there were indications that he had possibly entered the water close by, police said.

Woodworth is described as a 58-year-old white male, 6-feet, 2-inches tall, and 210 lbs., with hazel eyes and gray hair, police said.
Southampton police patrol units, the detective division, an unmanned aircraft unit, a New York State Police K-9 unit and quad, as well as Southampton Town bay constables, the U.S. Coast Guard, the Hampton Bays Fire Department, the Southampton Fire Department, Suffolk County Police's aviation unit and Sea Tow searched for three hours without finding Woodworth, police said.

The search was suspended until first light Monday morning, police said.
A Silver Alert was also issued by Suffolk County.
Anyone who might see Woodworth is asked to contact Southampton Town Police immediately by dialing 911.
