Suicidal Man Barricades Himself In Hampton Bays Home: Police

HAMPTON BAYS, NY — A suicidal man barricaded himself in a Hampton Bays home Tuesday, police said.

According to Southampton Town Police, at 11:17 a.m., a call came in regarding a suicidal individual at the residence who had made threats against a doctor and also threatened suicide.

Patrol officers responded along with members of the emergency service unit and negotiators, police said. Negotiators were able resolve the incident peacefully at 1:25 p.m., police said.
