Is Voting on the WHBeach Sewer System Important to You?

What is the cost vs. the benefit? And who specifically is benefiting? If Main Street wants it, let Main Street pay for it.

The Westhampton Beach Village Board is using a permissive referendum to fund a Main Street sewer system. That means we WHB taxpayers do not get to vote on this capital project unless we force a vote with a petition.

Timing is critical. Once the trustees pass a resolution to fund the $17 million project—and we don’t know when that will be—we have exactly 30 days to get approximately 300 signatures from registered WHB voters to force a vote.

For more information, please consult the many recent 27east.com and Southampton Press articles regarding this project, as well as comments below the articles, explaining the magnitude and scope of the project. In addition, there have been Press Letters to the Editor.
