Walk to School and Craft at Roses and Rice on Wednesday

Take a look at what's happening in the Westhampton and Hampton Bays area on Oct. 9.

Good morning, Westhampton and Hampton Bays area residents and visitors. Here’s a look at what’s happening on Wednesday:

— Today is expected bring partly-cloudy skies with temperatures reaching 66 degrees and a 20 percent chance of rain, according to weather.com.

— The Westhampton Beach Elementary School students are walking to school today for the annual walk to school event. The kids will hit the pavement at 8 a.m .

— Roses and Rice Flower Shop in East Quogue is holding a crafting session tonight where you can learn to design your own handtied bouquet with fresh seasonal blooms. The cost is $45 per person. Call 653-4910 for reservations.

— The Beachside Bagel Cafe in East Quogue has announced that it is now providing delivery services. Call  996-2840 to place an order.

— The Westhampton Free Library said that the book, the Circle by Dave Eggers hits shelves today.  Copies can be reserved to borrow by clicking here.  

— The Hampton Bays Booster Club will hold a meeting at 7:00 pm in Room 1 at the Hampton Bays High School. Parents are invited. 

— At 4 p.m. kids in grades 4 and up are invited to learn how to make sushi and maki rolls that are sweet treats at the Quogue Library. Pre-registration for this free event is required.

— Mark your calendar. The Concerned Citizens of Hampton Bays have announced that they will hold a meeting the candidates night on Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at the Hampton Bays High School. Find out more here.
