Westhampton Beach School District Ranked In NY's Top 100

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — The Westhampton Beach Union Free School District was ranked one of the best in New York State — the only district on the East End to receive the nod, coming in at #34 out of 100.

Long Island dominates the list, released by Niche.com of the best school districts in the state for the 2019-2020 school year.

The list was released recently as part of the website's 2020 K-12 rankings.

Each New York district received a letter grade in the following categories: academics; diversity; teachers; college prep; clubs & activities; health & safety; administration; sports; food; and resources & facilities.

To arrive at the rankings, Niche looked at data from the U.S. Department of Education as well as test scores, college data, and ratings collected from Niche users. (Out of the top 10 school districts in New York, six are from Long Island.

The top-ranked school district in New York is Great Neck. Niche gave Great Neck an A+ in all categories except for diversity (A-).
