Winter Storm Watch Issued For Long Island; Snow Estimates Climb
There hasn't been much snow this winter, but that's been changing lately and the biggest storm yet may be on the way.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm watch for Long Island. It will be in effect from 1 p.m. Sunday until 7 a.m. Monday.
The entire island is now expected to see 4-6 inches of snow accumulate by daybreak Monday. There's about a 10 percent chance of seven inches of accumulation, the NWS says.
Precipitation will move into the area during Sunday afternoon as plain rain for most areas, but it will turn to snow at night. Snowfall rates of 1-2 inches per hour will be possible overnight.

Heavy wet snow may down tree limbs and cause scattered power outages on the island, the NWS says.
The snow should end by the time the Monday morning commute begins, but expect roads to be treacherous on the ride to the office.
