Woman Wanted For Grand Larceny

Local authorities are seeking the public’s help with identifying and locating a person who stole an envelope full of cash from a Riverhead store.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and detectives from the Riverhead Police Department are looking for a woman who stole an envelope left behind by another customer from the Wal-Mart at 1890 Old Country Road.

The envelope was left on a desk in the store on July 17 and the suspect, described as a black woman around 50 years of age, stole the envelope and fled the store at approximately 5:50 p.m. She was wearing a light pink shirt, blue pants and pink shoes and had short hair.
