Worker Injured At Westhampton Beach Construction Site: Officials

WESTHAMPTON BEACH, NY — A male worker was seriously injured at a construction site in Westhampton Beach Monday, according to the Westhampton Beach Fire Department.

The man, who sustained "undisclosed injuries," was transported from the accident site to a landing zone in the Rogers Beach parking lot by an East Quogue Fire Department ambulance; he was then airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital by Suffolk County aviation at 3:20 p.m., fire officials said.

Volunteers from the Westhampton Beach Fire Department responded to the landing zone, where New York State Police, Westhampton Beach Village Police, Quogue Police, and the Westhampton War Memorial Ambulance Association were also at the scene to assist, fire department officials said.
