1 Killed In Wrong-Way Crash On I-287
Several people had to be extricated from their cars, authorities said.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — One person was killed Thursday in a wrong-way crash on eastbound I-287. The crash, which involved three cars, happened in Harrison near the White Plains border around 8:30 p.m.
State police said all eastbound lanes had to be blocked and traffic was diverted off at Exit 9A in Brewster.
First responders had to extricate several people from cars as the interstate's eastbound lanes in White Plains were closed, the Journal News reported.

The name of the person who died has not yet been released.
All lanes have since reopened.
