Post Road Students Launch Fall Food Drive

Post Road School, in conjunction with the White Plains PTA, will be launching their Fall Food Drive on Oct. 24.

Nancy Lyons of the Food Bank For Westchester will be coordinating a “Kick Off” assembly for the children. Post Road School believes that children can make a difference and by empowering them with knowledge and opportunity we will cultivate leaders in the future.

Nancy Lyons will talk to children about their ability to make a difference in fighting hunger. The Post Road PTA food drive is designed so PRS students can help those in need in their community.

How to Help: Help our Lil’ Tigers by donating non-perishable food items to help local families who are facing hunger every day. The process is simple: Put non-perishable food items in a bag and drop it off between 6:45pm and 7:45 pm on Friday Oct. 26th at Post Road School, 175 W. Post Road,10606. Food items can be placed in donation bins on the Sterling Ave side of Post Road School.

In addition, Grocery Gift Cards (i.e. $10 gift card to Shop Rite) and Monetary Donations are always welcome.

Please make checks payable to: “Post Road PTA”, in the memo portion write: “Community Outreach”.

All donations are tax deductible and can be sent to Post Road School, 175 W. Post Road, WP, NY 10606.

Let’s all make a difference. This initiative is part of Post Road PTA’s outreach campaign, whose goal is to increase parent and student participation which helps to strengthen ties betweenfamilies, the school, and the community.
