VAHALLA, NY — Patients at Blythedale Children's Hospital in Valhalla paraded through the hallways Thursday celebrating Halloween. The children, which included inpatients, were dressed up in their favorite costumes and received treats that were distributed by staff from every department in the hospital.

The children were from the Early Childhood Center, specialized feeding program and the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Pediatric Long Term Care Pavilion.

In the afternoon, 170 kids from the hospital and Mt. Pleasant-Blythedale School celebrated Halloween at the sixth annual "Trunk of Treat" event, with participating vehicles from the Westchester Count Police Department K-9 unit, Thornwood Fire Department, an ice cream truck and a two truck from event sponsor Mark's Towing of Thornwood.
