Shoplifter Arrested at Gunpoint Due to Mix-Up: Cops
White Plains resident faces petty larceny charge.

An alleged White Plains shoplifter was arrested at gunpoint last Friday because police mistakenly thought he had a weapon, authorities told Patch.
Employees at the Main Street Walmart alerted cops at 1 p.m. that a thief had stuffed 12 cans of Enfamil baby formula—worth $185—into a bag and left the business without paying, according to police.
Employees also said the man had flashed a knife when confronted, cops noted.
