Danbury Resident Aditya Tomar Among Victims in Metro-North Tragedy
Tomar lived with his wife in Danbury and worked at JP Morgan in New York City.

Aditya Tomar, 41, of Danbury has been identified as one of the victims killed in the Metro North tragedy when a train collided with an SUV in Mount Pleasant, NY. Tomar was a passenger on the train.
Tomar worked at JP Morgan in asset management in New York City, according to various media outlets.
Tomar was married but did not have any children, according to the Danbury News Times. He was born in India.

According to WFSB, Tomar came to the United States in the mid-1990s to study at MIT. He enjoyed playing cricket and the guitar.
The News Times reports that Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton spoke with Tomar’s family who asked for privacy while they grieve the loss of their loved one.

“Aditya was an extraordinary colleague. His leadership skills, sense of humor and tireless team spirit contributed to a better workplace for all of us in JPMorgan Asset Management. Our thoughts and support are with his wife and his entire family, ” Kristen Chambers, a spokeswoman for JPMorgan said in an emailed statement.
