Driver Dies In Fall From Parkway Overpass
It's the second time in a week that a car has been driven off an overpass in the Hudson Valley.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — A motorist was killed Saturday night when his car flipped over a concrete barrier on the Hutchinson River Parkway and fell about 25 feet onto Mamaroneck Avenue.

The 2002 Ford Ranger was traveling northbound at 9 p.m. when the driver lost control, spun out and struck the barrier, Westchester police said. The vehicle then toppled over the barrier and fell into an opening between the parkway’s northbound and southbound lanes. It landed on its roof on the shoulder adjacent to the lanes of travel on Mamaroneck Avenue.

County Police Patrol and Emergency Service Unit officers responded along with local fire and EMS personnel. The driver, the only occupant of the vehicle, was extricated from the damaged vehicle by White Plains and Harrison firefighters and transported to White Plains Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver is identified as Jefry Capellan Rodriguez, 33, of Perth Amboy, New Jersey, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the County Police Accident Investigation Team.
