High Winds Thursday Could Cause Downed Limbs In Parts Of HV
A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected.

Southern Westchester County is in for high winds Thursday. To that end, the National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory in effect form 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday for southern Westchester.
The forecast calls for southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
The strong winds could blow down limbs, trees and power lines, and scattered power outages are expected.

A wind advisory is issued when sustained winds of 31 to 39 mph, or gusts of 46 to 57 mph, are expected or occurring. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles, in open areas, and on elevated roads and bridges. Motorists should use extra caution.
