Kevin Meaney, Comedian and Actor, Dies at 60

He was a native of Valhalla and a resident of Sullivan County.

VALHALLA, NY — Comedian and actor Kevin Meaney, a Valhalla native, died Friday at the age of 60.

Meaney’s father owned Remember Me Antiques, located next to the Tarrytown Music Hall, the Journal News said.

CNN.com said Meaney was at his home in Forestburgh, Sullivan County, when he died.

The cause of his death was not immediately released.

Patton Oswalt said on Twitter that he always thought Meaney was a brilliant comedian.

“Then we hung out in Ireland and I found out he was also a terrific person. RIP,” Oswalt said.

Meaney was in the movie “Big.” His work in television included “30 Rock,” “Ned and Stacey” and “Uncle Buck,” according to imdb.com.
