Local Varsity Basketball Team Inducted into School Hardwood Club
Members of the 1976-77 team received the honor.
Members of Archbishop Stepinac High School’s 1976-’77 Varsity Basketball team were inducted into the school’s Hardwood Club during the eight annual induction ceremony held recently in the school gymnasium, the White Plains-based school announced.
Team Inductees and their hometowns were Tom Cramer, Crestwood; Bob O’Toole, White Plains; John Cahill, Yonkers; Mike Henderson, White Plains; Chris O’Leary, Edna, Minnesota; Terence McGlynn, Sleepy Hollow and Rick O’Connor, Avon, Connecticut. All except O’Toole (Class of ’78) graduated from Stepinac in 1977.
Other alumni inducted into the Hardwood Club were John Mastropolo (Class of ’61), posthumously; John Griff (Class of ’73) of Summit, New Jersey; Brendan Moyna (Class of ’87) of Crestwood and the brothers—Brendan Burke (Class of ’00) and Terence Burke (Class of ’95)— both of Brooklyn.

The Hardwood Club Service Award was presented to the Crusader Men’s Club, represented by Joe Collins (Class of ’81) of White Plains and Gerry McLoughlin of Yonkers who served as President.
