Local Women Join Fight Against Breast Cancer
A group of local women hope to raise $40,000 for breast cancer research before walking in the annual Avon Breast Cancer Walk later this month.

A group of 16 local women will show their dedication to putting an end to breast cancer later this month when they walk 39 miles in two days as part of the Avon Breast Cancer Walk on Oct. 20 and 21.
This weekend the women raised $3,000 during a fundraiser in the home of White Plains resident Jen Healy. The party included raffle prizes, pink themed desserts, pink punch and decorations.
The latest funds bring the group's total money raised to $35,000, within $5,000 of the amount required to participate in the Avon Walk.
