Make Duct Tape Crafts at the White Plains Library; Catch a Chamber Choir Performance at Grace Church

- The White Plains Library is hosting preschool storytime today from 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. and from 2 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. The program includes a craft activity for children ages 4 - 5 without adult. A final craft project ties in with the topic fostering a sense that stories are imaginative, yet lasting, and continue to enrich creative thoughts and play. To make sure everyone is safe and comfortable, tickets are given out on a first-come, first-served basis 30 minutes before the start of the program. - Angelica, a women’s chamber choir directed by Marie Caruso, will perform a program of medieval, renaissance, and contemporary Yuletide today at 12:10 p.m. inside the Grace Church, located at 33 Church Street in White Plains. The group’s performance will include selections from the Play of Daniel; Michelle Roueché’s dynamic Cantate Domino; and Guy Forbes’s breathtaking Ave Maria. Guest artist Rex Benincasa will accompany Angelica on percussion. The concert is free and open to the public.
- SCORE Westchester, located at 120 Bloomingdale Road in White Plains, is hosting “FREE ~ Grow Your Business with Email and Social Media” today at 1 p.m. This workshop, presented by Ellen Williams of Constant Contact,’ is an interactive seminar where key concepts of email and social media marketing are discussed and developed. Accompanied by a short workbook, you will be guided through a process of creating a digital marketing strategy that is unique to your business or organization. - The White Plains Library is hosting Holiday Craft - Duct Tape Creations today at 7 p.m. for teens. The program will go over ways to make everyday items using duct tape. Registration is not required but greatly appreciated. Snacks will be served.
