Man Swipes Clothes From Sears, Get Busted by Cops: Police

Hawthorne resident faces misdemeanor charges.

A 24-year-old man from Hawthorne was busted stealing $160 worth of clothes from Sears at 100 Main Street in White Plains, police said.

Employees spied the alleged thief hiding two articles of clothing and then walking out of the store last Thursday afternoon, cops said.

Police responded soon afterward, arresting the man and charging him with petty larceny, a misdemeanor. He was held at police headquarters for arraignment.
