Memorial Day 2021
During this Memorial Day weekend, Prato Capital would like to honor and remember the sacrifices given of those who have fallen.

As a Veteran owned business and with this being near the conclusion of Military Appreciation month, we would also like to thank all of our military personnel that are serving at home and abroad.
Our country is indebted to you all.

- Did you know… Memorial Day was originally known as “Decoration Day” honoring the Union and the Confederate soldiers who died during the American Civil War.
- Did you know… The name came from decorating the graves of the fallen ones with flowers, wreaths and flags.
- Did you know… This was put in place by General John A Logan who was the commander of the Union Veterans.
- Did you know… By the 1900s it had become a day to celebrate all American soldiers who died while serving in the military. It wasn't until 1967 that it was legally named Memorial Day.
- Did you know… there are a few Southern states that continue to set aside a day for honoring the Confederate dead called "Confederate Memorial Day"?
- Did you know... it is an American tradition on Memorial Day to fly the flag at half staff until noon, and then raise it to the top of the staff until sunset.
