A crowd of people gathered in front of the White Plains Federal Courthouse, located at 300 Quarropas St., Saturday and marched to Michaelian Office Building, located at 148 Martine Ave., in recognition of the National Day for Dignity and Respect.
White Plains was one of more than 40 cities across the country that participated in the event, which aims to raise awareness  for immigration reform and laws that promote citizenship.
Organizations that took part in the White Plains rally included: Organizations expected to take part in the local rally include: Empire Justice Center, HELP in Ossining, the Hispanic Resource Center, theHudson Valley Community Coalition, Pace Community Law Practice, WESPAC andWestchester Hispanic Coalition.
