Police: Wrong-Way Driver Just Misses Cop Car
The following arrest information was provided by the White Plains Police Department, it does not indicate a conviction.

A drunk driver barely missed an approaching police cruiser while driving on the on Quarropas St. Tuesday night, police say.
According to police, the white Chevy van, driven by James Cobb, 30, of White Plains, was traveling west on the wrong side of Quarropas St. at about 9:07 p.m. A police officer who was traveling east on Quarropas swerved out of the van's way, narrowly avoiding a collision, according to an arrest report.
The van stopped near 300 Quarropas St.

Cobb, of 23 Old Mamaroneck Road, had alcohol on his breath, according to an arrest report. A field sobriety test was conducted at the scene, which police say Cobb failed.
Police say they also found four empty beer bottles in the vehicle's back seat.

Cobb was arrested and charged with felony driving while intoxicated and transported to police headquarters.
