Prison For Inmate Who Caused Death Of Another Inmate
Authorities said an inmate punched another inmate in the head causing injuries that led to the man's death.
VALHALLA, NY — A Westchester County Jail inmate will be going to prison for causing the death of another inmate.
William Johnson, 21, of Yonkers, was sentenced to seven years in state prison in the death of Bryce Neville, 18.
Johnson was indicted in March. He pleaded guilty in October to second-degree assault, a felony.

According to the Westchester County District Attorney's Office, on Jan. 30, while an inmate in the Westchester County Jail, Johnson punched Neville in the side of the head.
Neville fell to the floor and suffered a serious injury. He was taken to Westchester County Medical Center where he died Feb. 3.

The Westchester County Medical Examiner found the cause of death to be blunt force injury to the head, a skull fracture and subarachnoid hemorrhage.
The attack was investigated by the district attorney's office in collaboration with the Westchester County Department of Public Safety and the Westchester County Department of Correction.
