White Plains police arrested a drunk driver Sunday who was speeding down Mamaroneck Avenue with open beer cans riding shotgun, authorities told Patch.
Cops spotted the allegedly sloshed driver—a 24-year-old city resident who lives at Pomander Driver—at 3:45 a.m. The driver was speeding past other motorists in his 2006 Hyundai Sonata and was unable to stay in his lane, authorities said.
An officer stopped the man on Church Street after tailing him briefly—cops said he had red, glassy eyes, smelled of booze and had three Blue Moon beer bottles in the passenger seat, two of which were empty.
