Waterstone of Westchester Appoints Senior Advisor

WHITE PLAINS, NY (January 2021) – Waterstone of Westchester, White Plains’ newest senior community offering independent living and unmatched luxury accommodations, has announced the appointment of Cathe Schaefer as its new Senior Advisor.

Ms. Schaefer of Mahopac has more than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing positions in the senior living industry. Prior to joining Waterstone of Westchester, Ms. Schaefer served as Community Sales Director at a senior living community in Rye Brook, NY.

“Senior Advisor serves as a liaison to the community and is a very important position,” said Joanna Cormac Burt, COO of Epoch Senior Living. “Cathe has a proven track record of understanding how to build relationships and connect with new and prospective residents. Ms. Schaefer started her career as a physician liaison to a medical practice in Eastchester, and later moved into the senior living industry serving as director of sales at a senior living community in Mount Vernon. In addition to her responsibilities in sales and marketing, Ms. Schaefer was responsible for customer service and quality assurance.

In her new role, Ms. Schaefer will be responsible for all aspects of internal and external sales and marketing. She will also build relationships with families, clients and prospective families within the community and referral sources.

Ms. Schaefer said that she enjoys connecting with people in the community and working with families looking for a new residence and to start a new life.

Located on Bloomingdale Road in White Plains, the five-story senior residence will sit on a 6.5-acre parcel. The building will include 132 apartments, an underground garage, an indoor pool, spa amenities, a movie theater, terrace, salon, multiple dining areas, and a fitness center equipped with personal trainers. Waterstone will offer large apartments and a wide variety of floorplans.

The Bloomingdale Road location is a lively and walkable urban setting for active and sophisticated seniors.
