WHITE PLAINS, NY — The Westchester County Department of Health released its allocation of coronavirus vaccine for the week of March 29, the 16th week of distribution.

Westchester will be getting 26,560 doses, up from the previous week's 13,970 doses.

Many doses of the vaccine are allocated to health centers, retail sites and physicians' offices.

Hospitals are charged with vaccinating healthcare workers, and county health departments are responsible for getting the vaccine into the arms of essential workers.

New Yorkers 16 and older are eligible to receive a coronavirus vaccine. Only the Pfizer vaccine is approved for people 16 and 17 years of age.
