White Plains DMV Seeking To Relocate To The Source

WHITE PLAINS, NY — The state Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking to move from the White Plains Mall to The Source.
The White Plains Common Council reviewed the request at a June 7 meeting to move the DMV to 1 Maple Ave., the Journal News reported.
The Source is across from The Westchester and is where the Cheesecake Factory, Whole Foods and Dick's Sporting Goods are located.

Moving the DMV was necessitated by the property owner's decision to redevelop the White Plains Mall for a mixed-use building.
In 2019, the DMV withdrew an application to move to a multi-story office building at 3 Barker Ave. over opposition from a nonprofit that serves domestic violence and human trafficking survivors in the building and the availability and pricing of parking.
