Rachel Davis of White Plains was recognized for outstanding academic achievement at Buffalo State's 56th annual Honors Convocation last month.

Davis is an Exceptional Education and Elementary Education major at Buffalo State. To qualify, students must earn a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and have accumulated a minimum of 45 credit hours.

Diana Hiltz, a White Plains resident, will be attending Stevenson University this fall after graduating from Valhalla High School. Hiltz plans to major in Fashion Design at the Maryland school.

Max Chapnick of White Plains, a member of the class of 2013 at Washington and Lee University, has earned dean's list status for the recently ended winter term 2013.
Dean's list status at Washington and Lee represents a term grade-average of at least 3.4 on a 4.0 scale.
