White Plains To Offer Remote-Only Option For Students
Parents who want their children to attend school from home in the first marking period must apply in writing by Aug. 25.
WHITE PLAINS, NY — Saying that they couldn't wait any longer for guidance, White Plains school officials announced Wednesday they would offer students a fully remote program for the fall semester.
"Our parents/guardians asked and we are delivering," said White Plains Superintendent Joseph Ricca.
School officials decided to offer a fully Remote Learning option based on Gov. Andrew Cuomo's remarks Friday at a news briefing, during which he said, "How each district decides to reopen is up to its own discretion, whether it's in-person or a hybrid plan that includes remote learning."
