Wine & Food Festival, Bartender Shake-off Set At Savor

WHITE PLAINS, NY — Westchester Magazine is bringing back Taste & Style and the popular Bartender Shake-off to this year’s Wine & Food Festival at Savor Westchester at The Westchester, Level 4. “Taste & Style is always a fun, laid back evening at The Westchester,” said Sam Wender, publisher of Westchester Magazine.

“The Bartender Shake-off was such a hit last year, we decided to bring it back to feature some of the most talented bartenders in the county,” he said.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, you can sample fresh and flavorful cuisine, sip delicious cocktails and then cheer on your favorite bartender during the 2nd Annual Bartender Shake-Off at 7 p.m.

Makeovers, massages, shopping, raffles and more make this an evening not-to-be-missed, organizers said. Bites from your favorite Savor Westchester eateries will be on-hand as well as samples by 273 Kitchen, Pasquale’s Deli, The Crown Plaza White Plains and desserts by Lulu Cake Boutique and Pennylick Ice Cream. All guests will also receive a $25 Simon Gift Card.

Westchester’s top bartenders will compete in the fun and popular Bartender Shake-off, mixing cocktails using Gin Mare.

The Bartender Shake-off will feature Westchester’s top talents including:

  • William Brembs of tredici North, Purchase
  • Nicole Eusini of NoMa Social, New Rochelle
  • Justin Picone of Iron Vine, Peekskill
  • Orla Quinn of Saints & Scholars, Yonkers
  • Defending Champion Emilio Ugarte of RiverMarket Bar & Kitchen, Tarrytown

Kate Schlientz of Intoxikate will be back to emcee, along with world-renowned wine expert and author Kevin Zraly. The line-up of judges includes food author and Food Network Star Jess Tom, Anthony D’Arpino of Harrison Wine Vault, Jeanne Muchnick of The Journal News, Tiffany Stacey, influencer @breakfastatetiffany, and Sarah Sercia, the Spirits Division Manager for St. Killian Importing. While the judges will choose just one winning cocktail, each drink will also be available for guests to sample during the evening, organizers said.
