60 Affordable Apartments Available In New Greenpoint Building
Most units are available to those making at least $42,000, but some require a salary as high as $81,840 to move in.

GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN — Two groups of new apartments in Greenpoint just hit the affordable housing lottery. Some are available to those making at least $42,206, but some require a salary as high as $81,840 to move in.
The 60 apartments are in the recently-constructed Otto Greenpoint Apartments building at 211 McGuineess Boulevard and include studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom options. Applications for the affordable units began Thursday, Jan. 3.
Most of the units — five studios, 28 one-bedrooms and seven two-bedrooms — are available to those making 80 percent of the median income.

For the $1,045 per month studio rentals, applicants can make anywhere between $42,206 and $58,480. The $1,064 per month one-bedroom option is available to those making at least $44,675 and the two-bedroom spots, going for $1,276 per month, are available to those making at least $53,143.
There are also 20 units available to those on the upper-end of the median income.

People making between $81,840 and $95,030 can apply for the two studio apartments, which will be rented for $2,201 per month. One-bedroom options will go for $2,320 per month to those making at least $87,738 and the $2,795 per month units will be available to those making over $105,223.
The required salary maximums for the one and two bedroom units depend on how many people will be living there.
The new building includes a fitness center, a rooftop pool and garden, a library, a game room, a 24/7 doorman, a tenant lounge and parking. Applications should be submitted by March 6 at the latest.
